Published Stories

From "The Given Note" by Seamus Heaney, illustrated by Julian Peters, the line reads "Strange noises were heard by others who followed, bits of a tune coming in on loud weather".

This is an extract from "The Given Note" by Irish poet Seamus Heaney, beautifully illustrated by Montreal artist Julian Peters. I love this poem with its theme of the search for artistic inspiration. I particularly love this illustrated version that combines the influences of my two homeplaces, just as my own writing does.

I hope readers will find a few bits of a tune in my stories.
